Vegan Dirty Snowmen is yet another version of hot chocolate I just had to make. This adult treat is delicious, creamy, incredibly rich, decadently chocolatey, and made for adults with just a little bit of Baileys Almande.
They’re fantastic with fancy rims or just sprinkled with some crushed candy cane and shaved chocolate. I tried these a few ways and each is beautiful.
Vegan Dirty Snowmen Need Vegan Irish Cream
Baileys Almande is certified vegan and is dairy-free, gluten-free, and deliciously easy to find in most local groceries. The vegan liqueur is a mixture of sweet almond oil, almond essence, cane sugar, purified water, and vanilla. We picked up a bottle for about $20 at our local market.
That’s not the only alcohol that would be delicious here. A shot of Jamesons (which is vegan) would be nice. I haven’t tried it myself, but I heard that red wine is a good addition to hot chocolate types of beverages. Red wine and chocolate go together here as well.
Alcohol-Free Vegan Dirty Snowmen
If you want an alcohol-free snowman, simply omit the Baileys and replace it with an equivalent amount of almond or coconut milk. It’s just as yummy!
Delicious Rims for Fancy Drinks
This drink and variations of it are delicious in a plain mug. Kick up the fancy notch with these delicious ways to dress the rims of your mugs or glass.
Dip rims in any melted vegan chocolate. Break apart and microwave for about a minute and stir.
Or, simply use chocolate syrup to coat edges. THIS is a good homemade version. Then dip the chocolate-coated rims in shaved chocolate or crushed candy cane.
Other options would be crushed almonds, vegan sprinkles, coconut flakes, brown sugar, any type of crushed candy, or even graham crackers.
A candy cane stirrer is tasty and cute!
It’s supposed to look like a snowman jumped into a mud puddle. I think I nailed it.
