What do I do in the Eon vault? ›

When you complete the main dungeon that lands you in The Eon Vault, you'll need to explore this second overworld to find the Soul Spark Cylinder. The Soul Spark Cylinder is in the overworld, so you don't have to explore side dungeons to find it.

Specifically, you need to head to the second overworld zone in N'Erud, which is either the Eon Vault or the Timeless Horizon. Somewhere barely outside the edge of that map, you'll find an Alien Device that you can use to unlock the Engineer Archetype.

The Remnant 2 Engineer Archetype is a secret class obtained by collecting an Alien Device in N'Erud, although finding it will be the death of you – quite literally as you must venture into the thick fog that encircles the world and causes you to spill your guts.

The Engineer Archetype can be found in The Eon Vault area of N'Erud. You gain access to The Eon Vault while playing through the N'Erud story from the starting point of The Forgotten Prison. If you start N'Erud at the Seeker's Rest starting point, you can find the Engineer in the Timeless Horizon are.

After finding the Soul Sparks, return to the prison and give it to the mysterious speaker behind the glass wall to trigger an important cutscene.

If a player agrees to be eaten by Tal Ratha, they will battle the Tal Ratha (Metaphysical) boss in Remnant 2. Upon defeating this foe, fans will receive the Acidic Jawbone, a crafting material that McCabe in Ward 13 can use to create the Gas Giant melee weapon.

Players that have reached the spire now have two options to consider, the first of which is to interact with the Custodian and give him the Shining Essence Echo. Fans that pursue this option will receive the Siphon Heart relic, which grants 10% of base damage dealt as Lifesteal for 10 seconds when used.

After you defeat Tal'Ratha (Metaphysical), you will be rewarded with five Lumenite Crystals, Tome of Knowledge, and, most significantly, the Shining Essence Echo and Acidic Jawbone. The Acidic Jawbone material can be used to craft the Gas Giant weapon at McCabe.
